The Great Discontent (TGD) is a journal of interviews focusing on creativity, risk, and what connects us as artists. TGD was created by Michigan based Tina & Ryan Essmaker of Designing Monsters and it’s one of the most ambitious interview based journals out there. The TGD website is a beauty, too. UFOMAMMOOT is Sven Lahann, Karsten Weil, Mario Müller and Stefanie Wildner. After learning about Websockets they were eager to build a website around this technology. Given the fact that they all are a bunch of oldschool nerds they decided to build «Mammoot Control», a Space Invaders like Flash game that lets you use your iPhone as a gamepad.

Beautiful Web Type is a showcase of the best typefaces from the Google Web Fonts directory, curated by Chad Mazzola. Currently there are 436 typefaces in the Google Web Fonts directory and counting. And yes, many of them are indeed awful but some are actually fine.

A Chronology is a journal of creative culture. The A Chronology website has a quite unique touch. Especially the use of layered content which reveal upon roll-over is remarkable. A really nice website. The only downside: no permalinks for single articles.
